How it computes
Every formula lives in a single calculation file, and every physical constant in a single constants file. Each page shows the formula it applies, the expected units and the validity range. The calculation functions are covered by tests run on every build.
Empirical constants — film factors, density and thickness exponents, collimation factors, half-value layers — come from film exposure practice, not from a physical law. They are flagged as such on the pages concerned.
Regulatory sources
Radiation protection pages link to the official Luxembourg portals (guichet.public.lu, santesecu.public.lu) and, for zoning, to the French framework (Légifrance). Every regulatory claim carries its source and verification date. Threshold values remain indicative: your authorisation sets the limits that apply to your installation.
No standard text is reproduced. The standards cited (ISO 5579, ISO 9712) are paid documents; we copy neither excerpts nor tables.
Privacy
Calculators run in your browser. Your inputs and source inventory stay in the device local storage. There is no account, no database and no form submission.
